AI Champion Train-the-Trainer Programme

Train a small group of your own people to run internal AI sessions, answer colleagues’ hard questions, and keep adoption alive after the training ends — so you are not dependent on outside training every time a new team needs to catch up.

Why This Matters Now

A One-Day Workshop Fades. A Champion Network Does Not.

External training gives a useful boost, then the trainer leaves and momentum quietly fades. An internal AI champion — someone colleagues can walk up to with a real question — is what keeps adoption alive month after month, at a fraction of the cost of repeated outside training.

Knowledge That Stays When the Trainer Leaves

Once your own people can run a session and answer the hard questions, you are no longer dependent on booking outside training every time a new team needs to catch up.

Colleagues Trust a Colleague

A question asked to a trusted teammate gets answered honestly and quickly. The same question asked to an outside trainer who visited once usually just does not get asked at all.

It Scales Cheaper Than Repeating Training

Training five champions to teach fifty colleagues costs a fraction of bringing in outside training for fifty people directly — and it keeps working for every new hire afterward, too.

The Programme

Two Days. You Leave Ready to Run Your Own Sessions.

Half refresher on the AI skills a champion needs to know cold, half genuine facilitation training — because knowing AI well and being able to teach it to a skeptical colleague are two different skills.

Day 1 · Foundations60–75 min

What an AI Champion Actually Does

A real job description before anything else — this role is more than "the person who is good with AI."

  • The champion’s actual job: teaching, answering, and escalating what they cannot answer
  • How a champion network fits alongside (not instead of) formal training
  • Setting realistic expectations with your own management before you start
  • Picking the right people: influence and patience matter more than technical skill
Day 1 · Deep Refresh~2.5 hours

Knowing It Deeply Enough to Teach It

A working refresher across everyday AI use and basic governance, pitched at "confident enough to be asked a hard question in front of a room."

  • Everyday AI use, briefing tools properly, and checking their output
  • The basics of AI governance and data-handling every champion must get right
  • The most common mistakes colleagues make, so you can spot and correct them
  • Building your own quick-reference answers to the questions you will hear most
Day 1 · Facilitation~2 hours

Teaching Colleagues Who Don’t Want to Be There

The skill nobody assumes a "tech-savvy" person automatically has.

  • Running a session for a mixed room: keen users and reluctant skeptics together
  • Keeping a session practical and hands-on instead of a lecture nobody remembers
  • Reading the room, and adjusting on the spot when something is not landing
  • Giving feedback to a colleague without sounding like you are showing off
Day 2 · Objections~90 min

Answering the Hard Questions Honestly

The questions that derail a session if a champion is not ready for them.

  • "Will this take my job?" — answering honestly, without empty reassurance
  • Handling the confident colleague who is already using AI badly
  • What to say when you genuinely do not know the answer
  • Knowing exactly when to escalate a question back to AISynergy instead of guessing
Day 2 · Building Sessions~2 hours

Designing Your Own Internal Workshop

Leaving with an actual session ready to run, not just ideas.

  • A reusable internal workshop template you build during the day
  • Adapting the same template for different departments and skill levels
  • Practical exercises colleagues will actually engage with
  • Running a practice session in the room, with real feedback
Day 2 · Sustaining It60–75 min

Keeping the Network Alive After Today

Most champion networks fade within months without a deliberate plan — this block is that plan.

  • A simple regular cadence that keeps champions active, not a one-off event
  • Sharing questions and answers across champions so nobody solves the same problem twice
  • Measuring whether the network is actually working, in simple terms
  • A direct escalation path back to AISynergy for what a champion genuinely cannot handle
Who Should Attend

The People Colleagues Already Ask for Help

Small groups, deliberately: this works best with a handful of well-chosen champions per department, not a whole company at once.

HR & L&D Staff

Own and coordinate the champion network as part of your training strategy

Department Super-Users

The colleagues people already informally ask for help with these tools

Team Leads

Support your own team’s adoption without waiting for the next scheduled training

Internal Trainers

Add AI to what you already deliver, with a ready-made facilitation approach

Want us to train your whole team directly instead?

This programme trains a small group of your own people to run internal sessions themselves, going forward. If what you actually want is for AISynergy to train your whole department directly, our AI Fluency for Every Team programme is the better fit.

What You Take Away

The Skills and the Material to Actually Run It

Not just confidence — a real workshop template and a plan to keep it going.

  • A clear, realistic picture of what an AI champion role actually involves
  • AI skills and governance basics refreshed deeply enough to teach confidently
  • Facilitation skills for a mixed room of keen users and skeptics
  • Honest, prepared answers to the objections you will hear most often
  • A reusable internal workshop template, built and practised during the programme
  • A simple plan to keep the champion network active after training ends
  • A clear sense of when to escalate a question rather than guess
  • A direct line back to AISynergy for whatever the network cannot handle alone

This programme builds practical facilitation skills and a reusable workshop template for nominated internal champions — it is not a certified train-the-trainer qualification, and champions are not expected to answer every question alone. Anything beyond a champion’s depth — a complex governance question, a technical edge case, or a request for formal certification — should come back to AISynergy or another qualified provider rather than being guessed at internally.
